Cornell University

Projects

The PHI supports a range of ongoing curricular and faculty research projects.

Archival Finds
The Archival Finds project aims to generate excitement about material culture and archival research among Cornell undergraduates and the wider community. In a range of courses, students research art, artifacts, and manuscripts in Cornell’s Rare and Distinctive Collections, and share their findings on the PHI website and Instagram feed.

Digital Exhibitions
Students work collaboratively to design digital exhibitions based on their course readings and research. Digital exhibitions allow students to think creatively about how historical knowledge is transmitted to a wider public by developing research and curatorial skills.
